Small businesses in the British Virgin Islands have a new place to grow following the opening of the Territory’s first Entrepreneurial Zone and business incubator in Huntums Ghut, Tortola.
Eight business owners received keys on September 11, 2026, joining an initiative that combines affordable commercial space with training, mentorship and practical business support. The facility supports start-ups and growing enterprises as they prepare to operate independently.
Participants can operate from the incubator for two to four years before moving into the wider commercial market. During that period, the Department of Trade will help them strengthen their operations and develop sustainable businesses.
The Government also plans to introduce similar zones in other communities, extending opportunities for entrepreneurs across the BVI. For emerging business owners, the programme offers space to establish themselves—and guidance to help them take the next step.
